Should I wait.

[troll: IPhone’s fans would never do dat …]

If my phone dies this year, i might take this rather than waiting for +1 year for the surface phone.

I think it could also cut the hype around Nokia’s new X6 (while not the same OS and price range, it will surely chakes some people).

My guess is Moore’s Law needs to progress a cycle or two before mobile CPU chipspeed is fast enough for a delightful Andromeda user experience — and a Surface phone.

Ok, so maybe they will ask HP to launch it, but it will be co-developed?

I am sure they will, but if the fans know or greatly suspect that a surface phone is coming with in the next year or year and a half, then why shovel out $500+ for a phone when the surface phone will be out soon. I think MS will not make that kind of mistake. They’ll keep 950 updated until they can move into the new branding.
MS has been sending all the singles that the Lumia brand/line of phones are dead. What they need now is some spacing between the Lumia line and the new (hopefully) surface phone line. When they present a new phone it will be big news and they’ll want to capitalize on that, not squander it away for a bridge phone. Just my opinion.

I think is sucks, but it seems to make the most sense to completely begin anew without any weird bridging. Right now whenever MS puts up new hardware it is top of the line and big news.

But what if they demonstrate some exiting improvements at BUILD for Windows on Phone? Something to excite the fans and make them wish a new device. Otherwise, a new premium phone doesn’t make sense.
And how will they develop future Windows 10 builds without own hardware?
