BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) coming to Windows Phone this summer

Nokia and BlackBerry today announced that BBM will be available for Windows Phone devices in the coming months. The messaging app is already available for Android and iOS and its popularity continues to grow so its absence from the Windows Store has been a hot topic for some time now.
BBM is a cross-platform messaging service offering a comprehensive suite of features. With BBM customers can create profiles and personalize them by adding avatars, pictures and statuses. Users can use instant BBM chat and see when their messages are delivered.
The app supports group chats for up to 50 users and free voice calls between iOS, Android, BlackBerry OS, Windows Phone and Nokia X platforms. In addition, the messaging service gives you the ability to share files, documents, photos and more with few clicks.
BBM also allows users to create and follow channels where people share thoughts and ideas. According to BlackBerry, BBM is coming to Windows Phone as a free download this summer.
