Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Ring get a new build

Microsoft quietly released build 10586.456 to Insiders on the most stable Insider ring – the Release Preview. The update is available for both PC and Mobile, and it comes without a changelog.

If you go to Settings → Updates & Security → Windows Update, you should be able to install build 10586.456 on your PC or phone. It remains unclear what improvements this build brings, but we assume it includes the usual bug fixes and performance tweaks.

Microsoft is in the final stage of developing the Redstone (Anniversary) Update that will start rolling out to the general public on August 2. Before that, the company is expected to release the last official cumulative update for the Threshold branch (10586) in early July.
