Viber has updated its Windows Phone app to version 4.1.0.0, adding Viber Out – a VoIP messaging and calling feature allowing users to call any mobile or landline number. The service is definitely cheaper than using a wireless carrier, with prices starting from a few cents per minute, depending on the country you are calling to.
In addition to VoIP calling, the updated Viber comes with video messages and multiply photos, as well as hands free Bluetooth support.
Viber, recently acquired by Rakuten, is now trying to bring the app to as large audience as possible, launching Viber for Desktop and Viber Out for the leading mobile platforms. All these improvements give consumers freedom to dial whomever they want, even non-Viber users.
